sounds good :) I probably can't do the park because my dogs can't be unleashed. they're so disloyal and will run as fast as they can away from me, haha. but, the beach may be a nice option as long as I keep them leashed :)

let me know when you want to come to our park, or when/if you go to the dog beach. If I'm free I'll meet you there.

Hi Arlene and Greg!

I agree, the HB Dog beach (park) is one of the best. I don't know where you live but there is a free dog bus that leaves from Tustin. I've been wanting to do this just for fun. The web site is http://www.doggiebus.com/index.htm

I'll tell you another "secret" place. Our neighborhood (Tustin Meadows, Tustin) has a group of dog lovers that meet in our park at 8pm. We let our dogs off leash and they love to play together. I must be honest, this is not legal (technically). We have little tiny miniature dogs, and large dogs like labs, goldens, St. Bernards, etc.

They must be well socialized, not wander and you need to have good leadership with them. But I love hanging out with these dog people because we all know each other and we know the dogs. Outsiders are welcome as long as you have good control of your dog. The link there is http://maps.google.com/maps/place?cid=3792827955651827294&q=centennial+park,+tustin,+ca&gl=us

Would love to go on the doggie bus with you all or see you at our neighborhood park!!!

yeah my friend said she loves Redondo Beach for her dogs too. thanks for the info! :)

- its open to all dogs, so be careful - they're larger dogs running around...but its a big beach so you may be able to scout it out & find a safe spot. I've had my 2 little 5-lb yorkie guys out there & had a blast!
Best dog park area for samller dogs though - is in Redondo Beach on 190th & Flagler(?) where they have segregated areas for smaller and larger dogs in a wide open (but fenced in) park setting :)

Even 5 lb. dogs?

Yes - Bolsa Chica State Beach, which is just north of Huntington Beach before you get to Sunset Beach, allows dogs ~ great place to run 'em!..

Hi Everyone,
I am happy to see we have a dog lover group...
So my dog can make some friends, too.
