Language Barriers: To Hear as Christ Hears
As you may know, for the past 10 months, I've been teaching English to middle schoolers at a Thai public school in the heart of beautiful downtown Bangkok. As the only full-time foreign teacher, at times the language barrier had been a problem. Sure it has helped/forced me to learn more Thai (or more sign language) but until recently, I had always viewed language barriers as just that - a "problem."
