haha.. weird way to get connected to people.
anyways, i'm glad you got to meet my roommate and have the yummy cake.
Yeah, you went to the small group launch thing.. Veritas is happening at church foyer... and you will definitely know...cuz we're chowing down 'Revelation' ... We're just about to dive into Chap 4, so if you're interested come check it out.. but either way, i really hope you can find a community that you can walk with..
OMGosh, no wonder it's oreo..so cute...
Actually, Jason...i think you went to small group, not veritas last night.
Unless you came to veritas then go to the small group gathering.
did you? Cuz, i didn't see you there...at least i don't think.
ON Feb 11th, we're going to celebrate veritas's 2nd anniversary, we'll have korean bbq for dinner before we start. so come at 6:30, you can just eat and go, if you need to go to small group. just come and meet some new people. it'll be nice.
btw, sorry about 'oreo' that's sad.
i love my little 'shmunky' <- his name.
i don't know what it means, he just looks like a shmunky so i called it.
^^ i hope one day i can bring him to veritas too..hehe..
see ya
Hi Jason!
Thanks for contacting and asking about veritas!
Yes, Veritas is a great place to getting plugged in the community and building up a deeper relationship with each other.
We start at 7pm every wednesday night, meet at the foyer of newsong.
we have volunteers who brings snacks everyweek, so, we kind of munch away at the beginning. Usually we have praise worship starting around 7:10-7:15, and Darryl's teach starts around 7:30
At 8:15-8:20 we break into small groups and have a good discussion time of what we learned and also have a time to pray for each other. And this ends whenever the small group wants to end.. typically from 9-9:30.
Our current study is 'Revelation', we just finished studying the 7 churches..and this week we're about to go into Chp 4.
Small groups are formed organically at that day, there is a closed small group that comes to veritas and have their small group time. But most of them are formed on that day, I'll say, it's a very open and comfortable environment.
Personally,I love it! because the teaching is so so good, i can guarantee you that the word is so so sweet to your soul. The more i come, the more i get addicted to the word... it's really something. And the small group time is a great blessing.
There is a cool community that has been developed from this place, and if you commit to it at least for a month, i'm sure you will experience the genuine love that people have for others.
But, you'll have to come check it out to see if you agree with me. ^___^
and If you disagree, you'll have to let us know, so we can continue to improve and build each other up in a better way!
If you have any questions, please let me know... you can email veritas@ newsong.net... or janec@uci.edu
